blonde ambition

A collection of pretty pictures to fuel you. I've been getting really obsessed with muted colors and 60s/70s photography vibes lately. These are some of my favorite photos I've come across recently via tumblr. I am/was tempted to organize these nicely but I'm too lazy and each picture deserves to be on its own rather than conjoined with another.

Unfortunately I've lost practically all the sources since tumblr is wack, so please let me know if any belong to you or if you know of the artist/creator man/woman. Just send me an email or comment below so I can credit the rightful person!

day of the dead

I've been looking around for new sources of inspiration lately, and I recently stumbled upon the photographer Elle Hardwick. Her photographs are whimsical and magical and beautiful. I really liked this collection of photographs entitled Day of the Dead, because they're just really fucking cool. I like how the girl has flowers in her boots. I saw a photo like that on tumblr and I think the next time I wear boots or Docs I'll stick some plants in them, too.

I also really liked her Meadham Kirchhoff 2012 Feature for Rookie. I'd seen the feature on Rookie, but I forgot about it, and then I saw it on her website and I was dying because it rocks life and is beautiful and perfect and is so true and representative of all the vibes encompassing Meadham Kirchhoff. I dunno. I just really like it.

PS: I am still emotionally attached and extremely in love with what I call the Meadham Kirchhoff Monster Jacket. Honestly, if I had that jacket, I'd probably wear it everyday. I'd probably sleep with it every night underneath my pillow. I'd probably cry every time I wore it, meaning I would cry every second of everyday. Since the odds of me ever having the cash money to buy this jacket is non-existent, I think I'll purposely go to clothing design school just so I can make this jacket for myself. I just need this jacket. FUCK IT'S LITERALLY SO AMAZING I WANNA CRY. (MK Monster Jacket on the right, while the MK Heart jacket is on the left. I love them both, but I love MK Monster more.) (This collection in general is probably my favorite collection of all time.)

let me be strange

I had this huge phase in the beginning of my freshman year/this year where I was just this utterly and completely strange/awkward mishmosh of shit. But this shit that I was was enjoyable! I was an enjoyable collection of shit. I'd wear weird things to school, and do wear things with my hair, and say weird things, and do weird things, and act weird. And I wasn't trying to be weird. I was just like, naturally capable of being super weird. Which is funny, because I'm actually quite capable of being quite normal. I think I'd rather be super strange than super average though. It's like, I want to fit in, but I don't want to fit in by fitting in, I want to fit in by being different and special and being who I am, and people respecting that and liking me for that reason.

boots via Dirty Laundry, French Connection skirt, thrifted lace top, DIY red top, buckle belt necklace, DIY duct tape headband.

painting done by my grandma (RIP) and some cool Carrie picture that is awesome.

My aunts/uncle/cousins made me/my family some Ukrainian dyed eggs a few Hanukkahs ago. They're super amazing, and I have my own kit now. It's really fun. The brown football is my brothers, the yellow/red one is mine, the weird one is one I made like, 3 years ago, and the snowflake is my moms. My dad's egg broke, but it had music notes on it.

More awesome eggs that I/my dad/my brother have made. My brothers is the grey/purple-ish one in the front. My dad is the scribble-y one, and then the other two are mine. The eggs are hollow because we pumped out all the yoke and egg-y stuff.

My grandma gave me that black sheep! I love it.

encourage nudity in flowers

Some photos I took a few days ago while seeking refuge from the boredom beginning to toil with my mind. I was too lazy to brush my hair in the first photo, but I like the utter naturalness of it. I've been really obsessed with "earthy looks" lately. I've also been considering getting me some dreads! Thoughts? Maybe not my entire head full of dreadlocks, but maybe a few throughout. I've been trying to become a vegetarian lately too, not working out so well. I guess I'm just having an "echo-phase?" Pretty cool, eh? I used to try and force myself to stye-wander, but now it's just beginning to come naturally! Hopefully I explore tons of styles this summer.

The motto that has begun to take over my life.

In first photo: thrifted top, necklace from street vendor and the other from puerto rico and the other from amazon. DIY crown. second/3 photo: DIY top, the rest is the same as the first photo. last photo from Tavi's jacket.
